Parish Announcements

Dear Parishioners,

Hope all of you are keeping well. We have gone through a several weeks with many restrictions due to health reasons caused by Covid 19 pandemic. Yes, it has been very difficult, challenging and even boring without our usual Holy Masses and religious programs conducted in the parish church. But, God has been leading us towards a deeper prayer and spirituality. We experienced our houses becoming house churches!
Let us take another step, a journey with Mother Mary in this beautiful month of May. Let us conduct our Marian devotion in a more affectionate and fruitful manner, being at home.
Let us daily keep some flowers and a lamp near the Marian statue and pray the Rosary with much affection and enthusiasm, using some hymns if necessary.
One Minute video clips daily on the theme “A Journey with Mary” prepared by the Faith Animation team (in English/Sinhala) is very inspiring, will be forwarded to you.
I am sure this prayerful journey strengthen our catholic families, giving hope of Mother Mary’s intervention to clear the world from Chorona disease, and to bring about a new world order. Let us be resolute, focused and move on towards new horizons “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, of love and sound mind ‘(2 Tim 1:7).

Be with us Mary along the way…Guide every step we take…Lead us to Jesus your loving Son… come with us Mary come.

With loving regards,
Fr. Daya with Fr Rajith and Bro Rumain.
1st May 2020.

  1. I am a parishioner from St. Joseph’s Church Nugegoda, as we do not have evening mass on Saturday since April, would like to know if you still have the Saturday 6.30 p.m. mass that’s valid for Sunday
